Our Story

Tom Laughlin started Sound and Light Solutions in 2006 with a straightforward idea: give regional event organisers access to the same quality AV equipment and production support that city-based companies offer, without the city price tag or the hassle of dealing with crews who don't know the area. What began as local AV equipment hire has grown into a full-service live production company.

Over the past 20 years, we've invested in professional-grade equipment and expanded our capabilities to include live streaming, live production and LED screen hire — services that regional clients previously had to source from Melbourne or interstate. Through it all, we've stayed family-owned and operated. That matters because when you book with us, you're dealing directly with the people who'll be at your event.

We provide end-to-end AV solutions for live events of all sizes — from a simple PA system for a school awards night to full production for a multi-day festival.

  • Live Production

    Full-service event production including sound engineering, lighting design, stage management and technical direction. We work with you from planning through to pack-down to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • LED Screen Hire & Permanent Install

    Indoor and outdoor LED video walls for events and fixed venues, perfect for live vision, digital signage and sponsor branding, with tailored design, supply and installation across regional Victoria and southern NSW.

  • Residential Installation

    Professional home AV fit‑outs including multi‑zone audio, home theatre, wall‑mounted TVs, aerials and CCTV, installed neatly with easy‑to‑use controls for everyday living and entertaining.

  • Commercial Installation

    End‑to‑end AV and lighting installations for venues, offices and public spaces, from eye‑catching video walls to full‑building audio and CCTV systems tailored to your business.

We've worked in pubs, function centres, showgrounds, churches, council chambers and outdoor spaces across the region. We know the power supply at the Echuca Civic Centre.
